On this day in 2010, we had Lila's 5th birthday party. We had a hula party at our pool with lots of Hawaiian fun. Here is the birthday girl with her flower lei that she was so proud of, and the cake I made that I was so proud of, and the palm tree my mom made that was way more effort to engineer than it was worth for a centerpiece for a fruit plate.
Miriam taught the kids some real hula dance moves which I'm sure helped align that baby for labor a few days later!
