May 21 - Dog Sitting

Lila and Nellie found a fun hiding place today.

We dog sat for our next door neighbors this weekend. Here's Lila with Scout. Nellie was unhappy about something and splatted herself on the stairs in the background.

Lucy rolled from front to back today. She is officially 360 degrees mobile, so the play gym no longer contains her and she can roll her way around the room.

On this day in 2006, we went for a bike ride at Hilton Head.

On this day in 2009, Nellie had some yogurt, some dirt, and a run in with some concrete.

May 20 - Swim!

Today was our first day of outdoor swimming! We went to my friend Carrie's pool and swam with some friends from the Peach Cobblers homeschool group.


On this day in 2006, we were in Hilton Head, SC on vacation. This was Lila's second beach trip and her first sand snack.

On this day in 2010 we had a busy day, I was still having a hard time believing that I was really pregnant, so I POAS a few more times.

We went strawberry picking at Cottle Farms.

And Lila had her last day of gymnastics class.

May 19 - Backyard Fun

Lila and Nellie flipped the birth pool over today and played with it like a trampoline which led to lots of giggling and silliness.

I was attacked by a Luzilla monster.

It just smiled at Daddy.

Lila performed a tableside concert after dinner.

Nellie loves to read her "Nellie" American Girl book.

On this day in 2010, Nellie had her last day of mommy and me gymnastics. She was a reluctant participant for the whole session.

She was a somber ribbon recipient.

May 18 - Four Months Old!

Lila and Nellie have tons of cute, matching clothes that my mom buys for them, but sometimes they like to mix and match and show their own personal sense of style. Today was one of those days.

Ciera stopped by and had dinner with us tonight. We always love to see our CiCi!

At about 11:45 tonight, I remembered that it was Lucy's 4 month birthday, so I woke her up to take her picture with Raggedy Ann for her monthly photo. She was not pleased with me.

She really protested when I tried to take a shot in the pink chair, so I let her go back to sleep. Sometimes the photo op isn't worth it.

On this day in 2008, we attended Ciera's Baccalaureate service.

On this day in 2010, Nellie stripped down to play in the creek at Hembree Park after an API meeting.

May 17 - Hanging with the Big Girls

Lila and Nellie invited Lucy to play in their playhouse this morning. I knew it wouldn't take long before she would want to run off and play with her big sisters, but I didn't expect it at four months old!

After they played inside, they moved their game of playing house outdoors. Lila wore Lucy around the yard on her back and played mom. Lucy loved every minute of it.

This afternoon we went to Dunwoody Nature Center to meet up with some friends that moved away to Colorado last fall. It was so nice to see Catherine, Evan, and Ava again!

In 2008, we went to Dr. Jody's son Andrew's birthday party at a bouncy place.

May 16 - Chilly Monday

Today was unseasonably chilly. Nellie even wore her snowman sweater! We went to my friend Sandra's house this afternoon to plan the next Holistic Moms meeting. While Sandra and I worked, her boys and Lila and Nellie played together. Playing with two younger boys was a new dynamic for us, and it was fun to see how well they all got along.

They had tons of fun playing with this box. Miss Lucy even got in on the action. I'm not sure if her expression is one of delight or terror.

On this day in 2006, Lila played blocks. Naked.

May 15 - Happy Birthday, Papa!

Today is my dad's birthday. We spent the afternoon at Overlook Park at our friend Quinn's robot birthday party. Lila and Nellie got their faces painted.

Then they enjoyed story time.

Next was fun playing with bubbles.

And finally, their favorite part: CAKE!

After we got home, we Skyped with my dad to wish him a happy birthday. Lila played her violin and we all sang to him. Happy Birthday, Papa!

On this day in 2008, Nellie wore fairy wings for the first time.
